This contemporary lounge is "the place" for teens — perfect for hanging out and socializing with late-night movie viewing, hip hop dance classes, video game tournaments and sports competitions like dodgeball and basketball. They’ll dazzle on the red carpet with our Rock the Boat teens-only party, complete with awards and "mocktails." Discovery Princess℠, our third vessel designed from the ground up with Princess MedallionClassTM and the final Royal-class ship, will continue to deliver an array of innovative new experiences.

Service has been generally great throughout, with excellent waitstaff in the restaurants, main dining room and buffet; fabulous attention to detail among the housekeeping crew; and brilliant service in the spa. Additionally, it feels difficult to navigate at times, with some of the lower decks featuring dead ends that force passengers to go up a deck or two, over and back down to reach their destination. And, despite having sailed on Majestic Princess just a few months ago, I still found myself lost on the way to the spa. (On these ships, the spa is on Deck 5, while the fitness center, which is often coupled with the spa on other cruise ships, is on Deck 17.) Signage on certain decks lacks some venues, which is confusing. Pre-paid gratuities mean each guest will be settled up before boarding but many cruisers keep cash on hand to give extra tips for extra special service during their vacation.

The ship is comfortable and classy, with a general layout and public spaces that will be familiar to past Princess passengers and welcomed by those who have never set sail with the line before. Even the littlest guests will delight in this whimsical, forest-themed world that inspires playtime and invites exploration. Kids, ages 3 to 7, can dance, enjoy pajama movie nights, create art projects like Animal Planet™ puppets and masks or compete in a Lego® boat-building contest.
